15th December 2009
Matt Armstrong at MountainRunner asks this question today. Let’s pursue metaphors and see what activates.
What is Strategic Communication? Killing Words.
Of course, only sticks and stones break bones, so words will never kill. But Words can Kill.
When you deliver a great performance, you Kill.
Killing Words move the audience where you want them, they enjoy the ride, and usually don’t realize how you drove them.
Killing words disadvantage the Other Guy. They find Themselves standing outside the gate in the pouring rain wondering how they got there.
Killing words demonstrate the Rule, There’s a Difference between Persuasion, and Smoke and Mirrors; with Persuasion the Illusion Persists.
Strategic Communication is Killing Words.
